Carol Ray grew up in the rural county of Devon
(United Kingdom) and, with the encouragement of
her parents, began singing from the age of 5.
With her father, she toured fairs and fetes and while
still a teenager, in 1984 Channel 4 TV commissioned a
half hour programme 'Chasing Rainbows' that
featured Carol's singing talents which was broadcast
to the nation to great acclaim.
This was closely followed by her first visit to a
recording studio where, with a live band, she
recorded two tracks: 'Honky Tonk Merry-Go-Round'
and 'Dear God'.
By this stage Carol had attracted the attention of the
music industry from both the UK and America.
However she than 'parked' her fledgling music career
to concentrate on raising her family with her
husband.
Now that her children have grown up and are all
enjoying success in their own right, with the
encouragement of her husband Ray, Carol has
decided to pickup her music career once again.
